Dry Winter Skin Solutions
Have you noticed a change in your skin this Winter? It is easy to forget how harsh the cold is on your skin. You want to protect it and fight against anti-aging.
The combination of windy, cold, dry weather outside and humidity- depleting heaters indoors work to drain our skin of moisture during the winter months. The lack of hydration can cause your skin to produce more wrinkles and dry out.
Here is the best way that you can prevent this and take the proper steps to having the best skin during those winter months.
Often times after coming in from the frigid cold we like to take long hot showers or baths. Spending less time under the water and in long baths can take the moisture out of your skin. Water repels oils, and can, unfortunately, cause our skin to shed the natural oils.
Use a humidifier doing the winter months. Make sure it’s a cool mist humidifier and aim it towards your face while you are sleeping. It will combat the loss of moisture from your skin as your heater runs more. As your skin gets more hydrated, it will look glowy and hydrated.
Make sure to exfoliate your skin regularly. This will helps to get rid of the dead skin cells. Leaving your skin feeling refreshed and so soft.
Use a cleanser such as our Clarifying Daily Facial Cleanser (with Hyaluronic Acid and Activated Charcoal) this will help to keep your pores clean, and buff out the skin for a flawless glow. This is my personal favorite.
Wear your sunscreen. Yes, even when there is 6’’ of snow outside. You can still run the risk of sun damage on your skin. This applies to everyone no matter your age.
Adding a few drops of our Rosehip Oil with everyone’s favorite Daily Vitamin Rich Daily Moisturizer during the Winter season will help your skin to have the perfect glow. Add this simple step to your skin routine before you apply your foundation, for a perfect dewy (not greasy glow)!
